Disclaimer
Spam. In most cases, accounts are suspended due to spamming, spoofing, or a security risk to Twitter and all of our users. Such accounts are against the Twitter Rules. Sometimes real people's accounts are suspended by mistake. In such cases, we meet the user halfway and renew the account.
Account security risk. If we suspect that an account has been hacked or compromised, we may suspend the account until it is safe and returned to its owner, which helps prevent potentially malicious activity from malicious actors.
Offensive tweets or behavior. We may suspend an account if we receive a complaint that it violates the How To Move Rules regarding abuse. If a user engages in abusive behavior, such as sending threats or impersonating another person, we may temporarily or in some cases permanently suspend their account.
